With PC and Network turned running, the run time is about 45 minutes - nice! With the PC off and just network hardware running (cbl modem, wireless router, 5 port sw), the run time is way more than 3 hours - very nice!! - keeps my VOIP service up and running. This UPS is well built, has user replaceable batteries (a BIG Plus!), and a nice and informative LCD display. The output voltage is a solid 120V 60.0Hz sine wave! Very nice. I have no need/use of the provided software so I can't comment there. Very Satisfied with this UPS!!

AFTER SUFFERING WITH A TRIPPLITE G1000U UPS FOR 1.5 YEARS AND WATCHING THE DESKTOP CRASH DURING SEVERAL POWER GLITCHES, WE CONTACTED TRIPPLITE SUPPORT. THEY CLAIMED WE MUST NEED A PURE SINE WAVE OUTPUT. WE POINTED OUT THEIR MARKETING CLAIMS ON THE CARTON HOW THE UPS IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT OUT SYSTEM. SO THEY OFFERED US AN UPGRADED UPS WITH SINE WAVE OUTPUT, IF WE PAYED THEM AN ADDITIONAL $300+ DOLLARS. [...] HAS A GREAT RETURN POLICY AND ACCEPTED THE G1000U FOR FULL REFUND OF ABOUT $100. WE THEN PURCHASED THE CYBERPOWER CP1500PFCLCD WITH SINE WAVE OUTPUT FOR [$] ON THE NET. WE WERE PLEASED TO LEARN THAT ALTHOUGH THE UPS CAN HANDLE 900WATTS, THE CYBERPOWER SOFTWARE REPORTS OUR SYSTEM IS USING ABOUT 100 WATTS AND WILL HAVE A BATTERY LIFE EXCEEDING AN HOUR IF UTILITY POWER IS INTERRUPTED. THE CYBERPOWER UNIT HAS ALREADY PROVED IT'S ABILITY TO PERFORM THROUGH SEVERAL POWER INTERRUPTIONS THAT NO DOUBT WOULD HAVE CAUSED HAVOC WITH THE TRIPPLITE UPS. WE ARE NO LONGER TRIPPLITE ADVOCATES DUE TO THEIR HYPERBOLE AND NOW ARE VERY PLEASED WITH CYBERPOWER SYSTEMS. WE NOTED THAT APS UNITS WE HAVE SEEN AT [...] ALSO SEEM TO CARRY HYPERBOLE CLAIMS. NEITHER TRIPPLITE OR APS NOTE ON THEIR MARKETING MATERIALS/CARTONS THE NEED FOR SINE WAVE OUTPUT WITH NEWER HIGH EFFICIENCY COMPUTER POWER SUPPLIES. Very happy with this purchase. I own several Cyberpower UPS units for home & office and find them a MUCH better value than my old APC units. I bought this Sin Wave UPS because it was only marginally more expense than the similar modified sin unit from the same manufacturer and this helps future proof my purchase since power supplies increasingly require this newer tech.

I have extremely spotty electrical service; with brief (less than one minute) outages occurring on a weekly basis. I keep my computer on 24/7 and wanted to protect against these outages. I chose a 1500VA unit to provide the most protection in the event of a longer outage. The included software was simple to set up and it has already performed flawlessly during a couple of recent outages. The only drawback is that there are only two widely spaced outlets on the back, one of which is surge only. I purchased some short (14") outlet extenders so that I could have my cable modem, router and external HDD all plugged in to the battery backup side.
