I connected 2 External 200GB and 500GB hard drive through the 4 port USB 2.0 powered Hub on to the Print and Storage server device. It works terrific and even with my laptop wireless connection in transfering files, watching videos and organizing data. I loved it because multiple user can work on the connected devices. To test I played movies on my PC and laptop and opened a file to print and it work great...just need to wait 8 seconds and it played movies on both computers and instantly printed my documents. You can also use the device for Virtual USB component connection and it sees your devices attached directly to the computer.
The only thing which limit you is that it can only connect upto 5 devices on the network with the use of the USB 2.0 Powered hub.
It is a great device for people who looks for expanding there network wirelessly while hooking up the components to a wireless router.
Comparing to Belkin F5L009 5-Port Wireless Network USB Hub this product works great because multiple user access the hard dive and use data instead of one time connectivity at a time with the Belkin. Where as the Belkin can use upto 15 devices connected to hub at each port.
The point is that when you want to use the storage or external hard drive over the network you want to share with the multiple user and that what I look into buying this product from IOGEAR MF Print and Storage server...it works great and I love it.
